There are some things that I wish I brought with me to Hawaii.

  1. A good pair of hiking shoes. The trails in Hawaii are not easy and they’re not paved. If you’re going to be hiking, I recommend wearing something comfortable and durable.
  2. Sunglasses and sunscreen/sunblock. You will be outside a lot so make sure to bring both!
  3. A rain jacket or poncho because even if it doesn’t look like it might rain, it will probably still rain at some point while you’re there!
  4. A hat – whether it be a visor or baseball cap, having one handy is always useful when traveling because you never know when you might need one!
  5. A sarong – if you don’t know what this is, don’t worry! They are basically long pieces of fabric that can be used as a blanket, scarf/shawl, skirt/dress and so much more! This is one thing I wish I brought with me because it would have been perfect for when we went snorkeling in Maui since the water was cold!

Hawaii is a tropical paradise. It’s a place where you can swim with dolphins, hike through lush jungles and walk along white sand beaches. But before you get there, you have to get there — and air travel isn’t always easy.

The flight from Los Angeles to Honolulu takes about nine hours and is often delayed due to weather conditions. So what should you wear on the plane? How do you make sure you’re comfortable? And how do you pack light enough so that your luggage doesn’t cost extra money?

Here are some tips for making your flight to Hawaii as enjoyable as possible:

Pack Light

It’s tempting to stuff every single item of clothing into your suitcase, but this will only make things more difficult when it comes time to unpack at your destination. Bring only the essentials and leave room for souvenirs!

Pack Comfortable Clothes

You’ll be sitting for most of the trip — so make sure everything is comfortable! If possible, wear loose-fitting clothes or ones that have stretchy fabric (such as yoga pants or leggings). You may also want to bring an extra pair of socks or slippers — my feet get cold on flights so I like having an extra layer!

The flight to Hawaii is long, but it doesn’t have to be boring.

Here are some tips for what to wear on the plane.

  1. Choose comfortable clothing with plenty of room for movement.
  2. Wear layers so you can adjust depending on how warm or cool you feel throughout the flight.
  3. Bring a pair of thin socks or leggings to wear under your shoes while flying. This will help prevent blood clots during takeoff and landing, which are known as deep vein thrombosis (DVT).
  4. Pack a scarf or blanket that can double as a scarf or blanket (depending on how cold it gets on the plane). Most airlines have blankets available if yours isn’t fluffy enough!

The goal is to stay comfortable, but still look good. Here are some suggestions for what to wear on your flight to Hawaii.

  1. Comfortable Shoes
  2. Swimsuit and Cover-Up
  3. Sunscreen, Sunglasses and Hat
  4. Light Jacket or Cardigan
  5. Portable Charger (optional)

I live in hawaii and i love it, i have been here for 6 years and i have visited a lot of places.

The first thing i would say is that you can’t go wrong with anything. The weather is always nice, the water is warm, there are a lot of activities to do, and the food is amazing.

I am going to give you my favorite places to visit in Oahu:

You must go to Waikiki Beach and walk around Diamond Head Crater, take a selfie at the statue of liberty, take a picture at the golden Buddha statue on the beach. It’s a must!

If you want to see more beaches, I would recommend Sandy Beach Park or Hanauma Bay State Park where there are plenty of fish in the ocean and beautiful views from above!

If you like hiking I would recommend heading over to Manoa Falls or Ko’olau Summit Trail where you can see some breathtaking views!

If you like history then Pearl Harbor is definitely something you should stop by while visiting Hawaii!

For those who love food, this island has plenty of great restaurants such as Tiki’s Grill & Bar or Yard House which offer delicious food that will make your stomach happy and full!

1) Things I wish I brought to Hawaii:

-A pair of swim trunks

-Sunscreen

-A beach towel

-Hat and sunglasses (I forgot both)

2) What to wear on the plane to Maui:

You want to be comfortable but also somewhat fashionable. I wore jeans and a t-shirt, but it was still hot in the plane. If you want to be more comfortable, check out this post about what to wear on an international flight. Also, don’t forget your travel pillow!

3) A capsule wardrobe for 2022:

Hawaii is all about comfort but also style. Here’s a few outfits that will make you feel like a local while still being comfortable enough for hiking or swimming. You’ll need a bathing suit too!

4) Why is the flight so long? The flight from New York City to Los Angeles takes about six hours and then it’s another five hours after that until you get there! It’s definitely worth it though!

Things I wish I brought to Hawaii

  1. Reusable water bottle: We drink a lot of water on vacation and it’s nice to have your own reusable bottle. I like the klean Kanteen because it doesn’t look like a water bottle, so you can use it at restaurants without drawing attention to yourself.
  2. Good camera: The photos from our trip are some of my favorite memories from this year! I used my Canon G7X Mark II for most of them (see my review). It’s small enough that I could put it in my pocket or attach it to my bag, but took amazing photos with its big lens and image stabilization features.
  3. Camera lens: If you’re going to take photos like these, you’ll want something bigger than the G7X Mark II! I’ve been using the Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS STM lens since last year and love how close it gets me to things while still giving me a wide angle view of the scene (see my review). It’s also much cheaper than other lenses with similar features – around $300 compared to over $1,000 for similar lenses from Nikon or Sony!

I’m going to Hawaii for my honeymoon in a few weeks and I’m so excited! I’ve been doing some research on what to bring, but I’m still not sure what the weather will be like.

I know it’s summer there, but I have never been to Hawaii before and don’t know what to expect.

I also want to pack light because we’re only staying for a few days.

Here’s what I found out:

The flight from New York takes about eight hours, so make sure you get enough sleep before you leave! Take a nap, drink lots of water and eat healthy snacks (like nuts) during the flight. Don’t forget your noise canceling headphones — they’ll help drown out some of the noise!

It’s important to pack layers because it can get hot or cold depending on the time of day. Pack lightweight clothes that are easy to layer so you can adjust according to the weather conditions. Bring at least one pair of pants/shorts/jeans and two t-shirts or tank tops — one black and one white — because they go with everything! You don’t want to waste space in your suitcase with clothes that don’t match each other well!

I recently went on a trip to Hawaii with my husband and our four-year-old daughter. It was a trip I had been dreaming of for years and we were so excited to finally experience it together as a family.

We flew into Honolulu and spent four days there, before taking an hour flight over to Maui. We stayed in Maui for two nights, which was just enough time to explore the island and do some water activities.

The flight was long, but luckily there were plenty of things we could do on plane to keep us busy! Here are some of my favorite things to do on flight to hawaii:

Bring your own entertainment: Being on a plane with a child can be stressful, especially if they don’t want to sit still! Pack some coloring books, books or magazines so you have something else for them to do besides playing with the seatbelt buckle or kicking their feet against the seat in front of them!

Bring snacks: If your child is struggling with not being able to eat breakfast before boarding the plane, pack some snacks that will help tide them over until you get off the airplane. My daughter loves Fruit Roll Ups®.
