The reason why your heels are wearing out is because of pronation or supination in your body. Pronation is when your foot rolls inward and supination is when it rolls outward. To prevent further wear on the inside heel area:

-Wear socks with padding under your foot for added cushioning or protection from friction against rough materials (such as concrete sidewalks)

-Get fitted for custom orthotics

I have a pair of shoes that have a hole in the heel of one shoe. The hole is on the inside of my right foot and it’s been getting bigger and bigger. I’ve had the shoes for over a year and they’re not very expensive, so I’m not too upset about them.
